Manages and reviews production orders, ensuring that schedules, product specifications, and quality standards are met. This role involves coordinating daily operations, tracking orders, addressing discrepancies, and overseeing the packing process. Additionally, the coordinator conducts weight checks, time studies, and serves as a backup for production planner and other operational tasks.
  • Through use of the PDS scale system directs production orders to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications to production schedule.
  • Coordinates the processing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications verifying correct tank styles, separation of weights and accurate labeling of drops.
  • Investigate, review and report any discrepancies in the prior day’s actual production vs the scheduled plan.
  • Conduct semi-annual weight checks on specific duck varieties to assess the need for target weight adjustments, perform time studies for costing, and spot-check average part weights.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Report any potential Food Safety issues to management immediately.
  • Report any damages to company vehicles, equipment, and buildings via maintenance work order software program through lead or manager.
  • Report any animal welfare related issues to management immediately.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in production scheduling, required.
  • Experience in Live Animal Food Processing, preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently make decisions with minimum supervision.
  • Advanced personal computer skills: Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to satisfy all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies.
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.
