Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our team at a reputable automotive repair shop. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their service needs are met with exceptional customer service and technical expertise. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and service technicians.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport.
- Assess customer needs by discussing vehicle issues and recommending appropriate services.
- Schedule service appointments and manage the service department's workflow.
- Collaborate with mechanics and service technicians to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services performed, including air brake systems, tire services, shocks, struts, and other automotive diagnostics.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further needs.
- Stay updated on dealership promotions, new products, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dealership/shop environment or as a service technician is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including air brake systems, tire services, shocks, struts, and general auto service management.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Mechanic skills or certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive training or certifications are advantageous.
