Position Summary:

Motivated and customer-oriented Team Member. As a Team Member, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring the efficient operation of the store. This role is key in helping create a positive shopping experience for our customers by offering prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Assist customers in locating products and making purchasing decisions.
• Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure customers have a smooth and pleasant shopping experience.

• 
  Sales and Product Knowledge:
• Promote and recommend store products to customers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and new arrivals.
• Upsell and cross-sell items to increase store sales.

• 
  Cash Handling and Transactions:
• Operate the cash register and process sales transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment securely.
• Provide correct change and receipts for all transactions.
• Ensure the accuracy of sales records and balances at the end of each shift.

  Store Maintenance and Organization:
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment.
• Restock shelves, refrigerators, and displays as needed.
• Clean and sanitize the store, including aisles, counters, and bathrooms, to ensure a pleasant environment for customers.

• 
  Inventory Management:
• Assist in inventory control, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise.
• Report low stock levels to the store manager and assist with inventory counts.

• 
  Safety and Security:
• Monitor store for any security issues, theft, or suspicious activity.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of customers and staff.

  Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other team members to meet store goals and improve the customer experience.
• Follow directions from store managers and supervisors to support daily operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25-40 pounds.
• Frequent walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to handle cash, operate cash registers and tablets efficiently.
• Repetitive movements such as scanning, restocking and organizing products.
• Seasonal snow removal as needed.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and possess the ability to work alone at times.
