Kitchen Helper

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of food, ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, supporting cooks and chefs in delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support cooks by providing necessary tools and ingredients during food preparation.
• Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
• Assist in catering events by preparing food items according to specified menus.
• Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen areas after service hours.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
• Familiarity with culinary techniques and equipment, including knives, is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: $14.70 - $17.00 per hour
