As a Front of House (FOH) Training Manager, you will be responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing a high performing team, while driving their professional growth. This role provides support and guidance to store operations management, and ensures all partners are performing and operating in accordance with JOEY standards and procedures.
Annual Salary Range
$68640 - $80000 per year
Actual salary offer within the listed range may vary based on work experience and other objective factors. The pay range for this position is subject to change and may be modified in the future, in compliance with applicable laws.
Duties
- Supervise training and development of all FOH JOEY partners.
- Lead and facilitate all JOEY training initiatives, new hire and ongoing education.
- Provide direction and feedback on partner scheduling, section sizes, and overall performance and differentiation of the FOH staff.
- Conduct coaching conversations and actively address all feedback provided through partner engagement surveys.
- Own the de-briefing and supplemental training of all partners who receive guest feedback regarding their performance and/or service.
- Track and report on weekly partner attrition.
- Support new hire training initiatives during JOEY Restaurant Group new store openings in other regions.
- Foster a cohesive and collaborative team environment through exemplary leadership.
- Own the training for launch of Corporate Roll Outs, such as new menu items and changes to existing menu items.
- Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
- Exude professionalism and Genuine Warmth and Care towards fellow partners, guests, vendors, business associates, etc.
- Lead service shifts, which includes sales forecasting, cost of goods, and labor planning.
- Partner with store operations management, as needed, on any disciplinary or documented conversations related to partner and/or guest complaints.
- Accountable to key budgets including but not limited to training labor, guest reward, guest recovery, and labor.
- Develop and maintain our JOEY mentor program and team service initiatives.
- Responsible for attracting, recruiting, and retaining top talent to the organization.
- Maintain expert knowledge of all JOEY HR practices and procedures and risk management.
- Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, or related field, or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a training role, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
- Possess a passion for hospitality and a proven track record of creating world-class hospitality experiences.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks; and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
