Job Summary:

Direct and coordinate shipping, receiving and warehouse storage of all materials and finished goods. Ensure that all labor efficiencies, quality, production, DOT, USDA and FDA standards are met and maintained. Manage the CDL Driver routes and assignments.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. The employee will be exposed to cold temperatures and loud noise within the work area. Occasionally work will be required outdoors. Work involves frequent lifting and carrying of materials and product up to 30 pounds. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit and use foot controls. Other requirements will include the use of computers, printers, hand scanners and radios. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses and hearing protectors. The use of coveralls, coats, gloves, and hairnets (and/or beard nets) is required in many working area. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Wage Range: $55,000 - $60,000 DOE

Responsibilities

• Organize the rotation and accounting for all goods; dry, refrigerated and frozen.
• Responsible for code date rotation.
• Member of JBC’s SQF 2000 Team. Responsible for the Receiving & Warehouse Functions to ensure Raw Material receiving, storage, and outbound shipment all comply with the SQF program and policies.
• Ensure that item counts are correct on all shipments and incoming orders.
• Communicate with order processing the availability of finished goods to meet customer shipments. Advise them of any short shipments.
• Ensure shipments are packed and loaded according to order specifications and shipping protocol to avoid losses.
• Monitor the condition of the warehouse and equipment to maintain safety, storage efficiencies and overall good manufacturing practices.
• Maintains standards of quality for finished products and materials ensuring that all TQM tests are performed and documented in a timely manner.
• Notify the QA and Director of Operations of all food safety and quality deviations from standards.
• Monitor the usage of raw materials and supplies to maximize utilization; communicate with purchasing on inventory levels and unusual production needs.
• Verify actual UPC codes and generate daily reports to ensure rotation is maintained.
• Manage and Monitor CDL Driver assignments and Driver Logs.
• Coordinate vacation coverage of JBC driver with external sources as needed.
• Ensure DOT requirements are assigned and completed as needed.
• Manage routine maintenance and repairs as needed to equipment and Warehouse Vehicles as needed.
• Monitor the safety of warehouse employees in the operation of daily duties including forklifts, lift gates, wrappers, etc.
• Train new Forklift Operators in the proper usage and responsibilities of Forklift operation. Evaluate current Forklift Operator to ensure DOSH Operation compliance.
• This position is backed up by the Director of Production, Production Manager and/or Company Supervisors.
• This position serves as back up to All JBC Supervisors, Warehouse Leads, and Forklift Operators Positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing related field and 3-5 years previous supervisory experience in similar environment. Knowledge and experience may be substituted for degree.
• Proficient PC skills with spreadsheet and word processing software; experience with an integrated accounting system preferred.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Individual is detail oriented and organized; able to set priorities and follow through.
• Experienced at maneuvering forklifts as needed.
• Able to work varied shifts, including weekends.

Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
