Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN Director for our Emergency Room. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Emergency RN Services department, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to medical protocols.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support in emergency medicine practices.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and address resident's rights.
- Facilitate effective communication among staff and with patients to promote a safe and efficient emergency care environment.
Qualifications
- RN License with extensive experience in emergency medicine and nursing management
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of medical terminology
- Proven supervisory experience in healthcare settings, including critical care and acute care
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management
- Understanding of Medicare and resident's rights, with a background in assisted living and home health care
- Expertise in physiology and shift management within emergency RN services
Education/Formal Training Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing- RN
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing- RN
Work Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years Acute care environment or
- 3-5 years Current unit or specialty
Licenses and Certifications Requirements
- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association required
- Nurse Executive Certification (NE-BC), American Nurses Credentialing Center preferred
- Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP), American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) preferred
- Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) preferred
- Registered Nurse, Arkansas - Arkansas State Board of Nursing,
- Registered Nurse, Mississippi - Mississippi Board of Nursing or
- Registered Nurse, Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing required
