Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Real Estate Investment Analyst to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves creating and managing sophisticated financial models to evaluate opportunities for deploying debt and equity investments. The analyst will support our agency services in raising capital, our affordable housing financing division, and our investment arm in acquisitions and asset management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of commercial real estate finance, including both debt and equity structures, and exhibit proficiency in financial modeling and industry-standard tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to assess potential investment opportunities.
- Analyze complex real estate transactions to determine the feasibility of debt and equity placements.
Affordable Housing Financing Support:
- Assist in structuring and executing affordable housing financing deals.
- Prepare and submit Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) applications, ensuring compliance with program requirements.
Transaction Support:
- Create compelling deal and investment marketing packages to effectively communicate opportunities to stakeholders.
- Coordinate and assist in the closing processes for debt, equity, affordable housing, and acquisition transactions.
Asset Management:
- Provide analytical support for the firm's investment portfolio, including monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for value enhancement.
Market Research and Tool Utilization:
- Conduct thorough market research to inform investment strategies and decision-making.
- Utilize industry-standard tools such as Excel, CoStar, and Argus for analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in commercial real estate, with a strong grasp of both debt and equity financing, as well as affordable housing finance.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, CoStar, Argus, and financial modeling are essential.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with LIHTC applications and affordable housing financing structures is highly desirable.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
