GROUP SALES MANAGER
Reporting to the Director of Guest Services, the Group Sales Manager works to increase group and corporate sales of admission, membership, and rentals programs. They actively engage with organizations within our target markets to increase awareness of the Zoo, our mission, and opportunities for engagement. This position will develop new and reinforce existing relationships, manage leads, and increase sales across multiple departments.
This position’s pay range: $59,200 – 69,700

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE GROUP SALES MANAGER AT JBZ
The Group Sales Manager actively sources new clients in an external sales capacity. They sell admission tickets, private corporate events, picnics, and memberships, concentrating on businesses of 100 or more employees, through a combination of personal sales and cold calls. Working in an energetic, results-based environment, they meet and exceed individual and department sales quotas by adhering to established sales guidelines, programs and procedures. The Group Sales Manager also plans, upsells and details functions with the client including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes, decorations, etc. They are responsible for post event follow up, engagement, continued client development, and continuous improvement. In addition to these duties, they generate and analyze weekly and monthly sales reports, as well as other required reports when due, including but not limited to client needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new services.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE GROUP SALES MANAGER AT JBZ
- High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in professional sales, business administration, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in group/corporate sales, or a related field.
- Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, computer graphics, multimedia presentation and database applications required. Previous CRM experience preferred.
- Excellent time management, communication, and organization skills.
- Ability to compile, analyze, and present various sales reports and forecasts.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments and organization levels to facilities sales success.
- Ability to travel within the local area to meet with clients and potential clients.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
