Retail Supervisor - Part Time

SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Retail Manager/Buyer, the Retail Supervisor (Part Time) will facilitate training with seasonal staff guest service, product knowledge, money handling, and company policies. The Retail Supervisor will work with the management team in the daily operation of the retail venues including opening and closing all retail stands. The Retail Supervisor will also be responsible for inventory management, assuring merchandise is brought to the necessary locations and maintain an updated record of stock levels.

This position has a wage range of $14.49 - $17.05 per hour based on experience.

PART TIME HOURS
This position would ideally work Wednesday-Saturday 9a-5p.

Hours can be flexible and work around a variety of schedules.

The retail supervisor will be responsible for the retail and face painting staff as well as maintain working relationships with all functional areas of the John Ball Zoo. They will be responsible for the daily operation and supervision of the face painting staff. Training all face painters and coming up with designs and presentations for specific events. Working with the team to ensure consistency and fast-paced work for anyone seeking face painting at the John Ball Zoo. They will also work with the retail team to ensure proper coverage when needed for all events, and proper hiring of staff.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR RETAIL SUPERVISOR AT JBZ

This position will require a creative person with experience in drawing or design, or relevant experience in makeup and/or face painting. They will need to have experience in training and managing a team of 15 or more. Have excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to handle cash and operate a cash register. They must have outstanding customer service skills and be comfortable in creating positive face-to-face interactions.
