We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Home Performance Assistant to support our Home Performance department in managing daily operational tasks related to the NYSERDA Empower program. This role is crucial in helping the company meet its sales goals by ensuring efficient task completion, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining smooth internal and external communication. You will assist with income screening, scheduling exit audits, following up on leads, and invoicing projects for final payment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the Home Performance spreadsheet to track the progression of jobs.
- Invoice customers through the NYSERDA portal
- Communicate with NYSERDA to resolve issues with problematic projects and ensure they are invoiced and paid after revisions.
- Schedule exit audits and send the Test Out Form to auditors via email.
- Follow up on web leads and other sources to perform income screening for customers
- Assist with scheduling Market Rate insulation estimates.
- Provide backup support to other department staff to maintain workflow during absences.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an office setting.
- Familiarity with the insulation industry or the NYSERDA program is helpful.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and complete tasks independently.
- Initiative to prioritize tasks and work without direct supervision.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
