Quality Auditor

John Boos & Co. , a trusted provider of high-quality, performance driven equipment and workspaces that have inspired home cooks, chefs and foodservice industry workers for generations, is accepting applications for a full-time Quality Auditor for our manufacturing facilities. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of the manufacturing process, ensuring that all products are made with the highest quality, safety, and efficiency in mind. It is important for the candidate to have a strong understanding of the manufacturing environment and be committed to continuous improvement in product quality.

Summary

The Quality Auditor is responsible for ensuring that products meet established standards of quality and for supporting the Quality Team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspects, tests, and samples materials, parts, or products for defects and deviations from specifications.
• Observes and monitors production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and makes or orders necessary process or assembly adjustments.
• Discards or rejects products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
• Interprets and follows blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions for inspections.
• Records inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
• Communicates with production teams regarding quality control issues and recommends changes to enhance product quality.
• Performs routine checks on machinery and systems to ensure everything is in working order.
• Keeps track of quality documentation and reports any inconsistencies or changes.
• Stays updated with product specifications and the latest quality control techniques.

Education & Training

• High School Diploma Required
• Previous Training in Quality Control Methods and Standards Preferred

Skills & Abilities

• Keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Thorough knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
• Ability to use measurement tools and read technical documents.
