We seek a strategic and collaborative finance leader to join our growing, profitable construction services company as the FP&A manager. This role offers an opportunity to shape the financial future of a well-established, growing Chicago infrastructure company experiencing significant expansion.
We’re looking for you to do the following:
- Develop a data driven approach to surface and communicate project performance insights
- Grow and mentor existing and future analyst team members
- Advance FP&A analysis across new data sources and expand team to support new business lines
- Act as a consultant and provides decision support for Executive team
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support data-driven decision making
- Mentor and develop team member capabilities by providing training and development opportunities
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership and program managers
- Identify and implement best practices for financial planning and analysis
- Support the corporate budgeting and forecasting processes
- Work closely with the CFO in the evaluation and implementation of relevant data consolidation, visualization, and reporting solutions
You Have:
- A strategic forward-thinking financial leader with seven plus years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a construction firm or a public accounting firm with construction clients.
- A problem-solving, humble, well-grounded, self-aware individual who fosters communication, is open to new ideas, is a continuous learner, and focuses on relationship building.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Enterprise Project management / implementation experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- CPA or CFA certification preferred
- Seven plus years of experience in financial planning and analysis
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
