The Department of Mental Health is seeking a dynamic, recovery-oriented administrator to serve as the Clinical Director for the John C. Corrigan Mental Health Center and Fall River Site. This experienced Clinical Leader will be responsible for overseeing our vibrant community mental health center’s continuum of clinical services. As a member of Corrigan’s senior leadership team, the Clinical Director will work to further the center’s transdisciplinary vision that promotes and maintains the delivery of high-quality integrated services.
Please Note: The work schedule will be (40 hours) 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The days off will be Sunday and Saturday. This position participates in an Administrator On-Call Rotation.
Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
- Provide direction to the State-Operated Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) Program, Transitional Employment (T.E), Partial Hospital Program, Outpatient Department which includes the Coordinated Specialist Care (CSC) First Break Program through supervision of the respective program directors. Responsible for program development, policy development and implementation with a focus on fulfilling the Community First initiatives, integration of EBP as well as providing recovery-based care: conduct data analysis, utilization management & evaluation
- Oversight of Contracted programs for ACCS, PACT, Clubhouse, Community Connections, and RCC. Provide regular clinical and administrative consult and oversight of vendors. Evaluate utilization of services; monitor service delivery; coordinate the referral and discharge process to vendors.
- Clinical & Administrative oversight of the Service Authorization Dept. and Case Management. Directly supervise the supervisors of each program/dept. and ensures that implementation of the Individual Services Planning process and case management services delivery are in compliance with DMH regulation and standard business practice.
- Provides oversight for the Fall River Site's Group Home Annual Budget. The Clinical Director monitors designated spending plan items.
- Assistant to the Center Director. Function as the Center Director during any absence and make administrative decisions regarding operation of the center, provide on-call coverage for the Center, work collaboratively with Area Office to ensure Center operates optimally. In addition, the Clinical Director may take the lead in special projects identified by the Center Director and the Area Office.
- Participates regularly in meetings with Community stakeholders to ensure services to consumers stay on target with this important initiative and DMH is at the table and addresses issues that may arise. The Director also oversees DMH residential supervisors who are responsible for the licensing, lease agreements, housing inspections and communicates with landlords. Collaborates with MRC to improve Collective Employment outcomes.
- Provides Guidance, Clinical support, Collaborates with the Inpatient Director of Social Work.
Required Qualifications:
- Five years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience.
- One year must have been in a project management, supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Possession of a current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's license required for this function.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years of Clinical practice.
- Independent licensure in human services, i.e. LICSW, LMHC
- 5 years of clinical and administrative supervision.
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience.
