Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Estimator/Proposal Manager to lead, prepare, and execute proposals, competitive bids, and qualification packages. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate, timely, and detailed estimates to price competitive bids and proposals. They will review architectural drawings, specifications, identify scopes, and seek out vendor pricing and communicate with subcontractors as required. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing detailed estimates to price competitive bids and proposals
- Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and identifying scopes
- Seeking out vendor pricing and communicating with subcontractors
- Producing proposal deliverables, including planning, layout, drafting, and editing of proposals and qualifications
- Analyzing construction project plans, requirements, drawings, and technical specifications
- Conceptualizing the construction project cycle and taking schedule, logistics, and other factors into account that contribute to productivity loss
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent amount of field experience in the applicable trade
- Excellent computer, computational, and writing skills
- Very familiar with construction documents and able to read drawings
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and e-mail
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with estimating software, such as Bluebeam, is a plus
