Head Housekeeper

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a hotel or similar environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all guest areas are immaculate, welcoming, and reflect our commitment to quality.

Duties

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain cleanliness in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special requests or events requiring additional cleaning services.
• Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including staff schedules, supply usage, and maintenance issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience in housekeeping management within a hospitality or hotel setting.
• Strong knowledge of custodial practices, floor care techniques, and industrial cleaning methods.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in training and developing staff.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
