What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treatment Plan Coordinator position at John Ceraso, DMD, PA?
Summary: Coordinates the operations of patient care by performing the following duties.
Essential Tasks include the following but are not limited to:
- Reviews and maintains the doctors schedule to ensure production goals are met.
- Verifies insurance coverage on new patients, re-verifies patient insurance each visit and explains insurance reimbursement protocol in laymen’s terms.
- Explain doctor procedures in laymen’s terms and coordinates patient treatment as needed.
- Discusses fees, finances, and payment options according to the Financial Policy of the practice to gain commitment to start treatment.
- Prepare written treatment plans with specific arrangements noted and collect co-payments.
- Contact patients with unscheduled treatment following the Reactivation Policy of the practice.
Non-Essential Tasks include the following but are not limited to:
- Review cases with the doctor.
- Identify unscheduled patients and family members with pending treatment and remaining insurance funds.
- Assist in answering phones.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a Dental Office helpful.
