Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on industrial machinery to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment according to schedule, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose equipment problems and determine effective solutions.
• Identify and source replacement parts by coordinating with external suppliers and vendors as needed to expedite repairs.
• Work independently to complete maintenance tasks and projects, while coordinating with the team to schedule repairs and equipment downtime efficiently.
• Document maintenance activities (repairs performed, parts used, etc.) and report recurring issues or recommendations for improvement.
• Enforce a safety-first approach, following all safety guidelines (e.g. lockout/tagout) and ensuring equipment is operated safely – especially when working with high-pressure systems.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance or mechanical technician role, performing equipment repair and upkeep.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and proven troubleshooting skills for complex machinery and systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules, procedures, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical diagrams, with the skill to work independently to solve problems.
• Excellent communication skills and a vigilant, safety-first mindset on the job.
• Adaptable and effective in a fast-paced environment, able to handle urgent issues and shifting priorities.
• Comfortable interacting with suppliers and vendors to research and procure replacement parts or materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required). An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is a plus but not required, especially with strong experience.
