John Elway Chevrolet Collision Center is looking for a Body Shop Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This involves working with a variety of materials such as metal, plastic, and fiberglass, as well as using specialized tools and equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities
- Perform all body and fender repairs according to the estimate
- Perform welding, soldering, body alignment if needed
- Identify and determine parts required for repair
- Complete vehicle repairs in accordance with the dealer and factory standards
- Attention to detail to ensure repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Operate all equipment in a safe manner
- Road test vehicles when necessary
- Maintain area in an orderly and clean manner
- Understand regulations for disposal of hazardous materials
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with windows and ADP/CDK systems preferred.
- Ability to perform accurate estimates of repairs
- Knowledge of the latest equipment and tools for body repair
- Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
