- Manager and oversee the used car inventory, including purchasing, pricing, and reconditioning
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability
- Appraise and purchase vehicles from various sources with competitive offers
- Monitor and maintain inventory freshness by implementing strategies to minimize aging stock and maximize turnover
- Rotate stock strategically adjusting pricing and promotions to move aged units before they come stale
- Train, motivate and inspire your team to consistently achieve sales goals
- Coach sales staff on effective selling techniques, customer relation management and overcoming initial objections
- Provide feedback to improve sales staff performance
- Monitor market trends, demand, and competitor pricing to optimize inventory turnover
- Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the buying process
- Handle customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally
- Nurture enriching relationships fostering long term customer relationships through follow-up communication.
- Maintain strong relationships with wholesalers and auctions
- Ensure that all vehicles meet dealership quality standards prior to sale
- Collaborate with marketing team to create target marketing materials
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Coordinate with service and detail departments to streamline vehicle inspections, repairs and cosmetic enhancements
- Deep understanding of used car market including vehicle values, market trends, and quality standards
- Proven sales leadership skills and record of exceeding sale goals
- Phenomenal communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in automotive retail management systems and online platforms (CDK, DriveCentric, etc)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesaler and vendors.
- Available to work flexible hours and weekends
- Self-starter mentality and ambitious spirit preferred
- Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
- Clean driving record and valid driver license
