The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting real estate investment decisions by conducting financial analysis, market research, and asset management evaluations. This individual will be responsible for financial modeling, underwriting investment opportunities, and providing strategic insights to optimize portfolio performance. The role requires a deep understanding of real estate financial metrics, market trends, and investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
Investment Analysis & Underwriting :
Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate potential real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and developments.
Conduct property-level and portfolio-level financial analysis, including discounted cash flow (DCF), IRR, NPV, and sensitivity analyses.
Perform underwriting and due diligence for investment opportunities, including market research, rent roll analysis, and expense forecasting.
Prepare investment memos and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
Asset Management & Portfolio Strategy :
Track and analyze the financial performance of existing real estate assets and identify opportunities for value enhancement.
Monitor key operational metrics such as occupancy, lease expirations, and NOI (Net Operating Income).
Collaborate with asset managers, property managers, and leasing teams to optimize asset performance.
Assist in the development of asset-level business plans and exit strategies.
Market Research & Industry Trends :
Conduct research on market trends, economic indicators, and competitive landscapes to support investment decisions.
Stay up to date on capital markets, interest rate movements, and real estate sector performance.
Analyze demographic and economic data to assess market demand for various property types.
Financial Reporting & Budgeting :
Assist in preparing financial reports, investor presentations, and quarterly performance reviews.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes for real estate assets and portfolios.
Work closely with accounting teams to reconcile actual vs. projected financials.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
4-7 years of experience in real estate investment analysis, asset management, or FP&A.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling.
Knowledge of commercial real estate sectors (multifamily, office, retail, industrial).
Experience with debt structuring, joint ventures, and capital markets is preferred.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
