Job Description :
- Solo practice with grossing required
- Daily volume of 10-15 cases, primarily small GI biopsies
- Notable focus on GYN pathology and approximately 1 cancer case per week
- Very rare after-hours call; no weekend call
- Opportunity to consult with pathologists via courier service located 45 minutes away
- Access to tumor boards and breast pretreatment conferences for CME
- The facility does not have a trauma level designation or pediatric level
- Facility offers a range of specialty skills, preferring candidates with expertise in :
- Surgical Pathology
- GI, GU, and Neuropathology
- Dermatopathology
- Hematopathology including bone marrow and lymph nodes
- Cytology, both GYN and Non-GYN
- Pediatric tumor pathology
- Autopsy, both forensic and non-forensic
- Performance of FNAs and grossing or cutting frozen sections
- Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry / Serology, and Blood Bank
