Position Overview:
•The Registered Nurse I/RN I assumes principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all Emergency Department patients.
•Additionally, the Registered Nurse I/ RN I initiates patient teaching and educates the family or significant other to attain optimal health.
•The Registered Nurse I/ RN I uses effective verbal and written skills to communicate with people on all levels and maintains positive working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
•The Registered Nurse I/ RN I continues in a mentor relationship with a designated RN, and works toward independent practice and growth educationally in the Emergency Department.
