At our Womelsdorf location we are looking for a First Shift - Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with both, plant equipment and material handling equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a work-life balance with a 40-to-50-hour workweek, including few Saturdays and no Sunday work. Competitive wages based on experience.
- Being part of a cross-functional team, working with manufacturing and warehouse associates to improve equipment availability and performance.
- Completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.
- Working on both plant and material handling equipment.
- Handling mechanical and electrical systems.
- Utilizing troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair equipment.
We are looking for someone with:
- 1-3 years of experience in plant maintenance, with material handling equipment experience being a plus.
- A minimum of a high school diploma (or GED/high school certification); a technical school certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing is a plus but not required.
- Basic mechanical and electrical skills.
- The ability to work from equipment manuals and verbal instructions.
- The ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- A dependable, self-motivated attitude, willing to learn and grow with the team and company.
- The ability to stand and walk throughout the day and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
