What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Satellite Systems Engineer position at John Galt Staffing?
Seeking Principal level Satellite Systems Engineer to work with a team of highly technical engineers and satellite manufacturers to develop and produce next generation satellite payload technology for NTN-LEO applications.
Responsibilities :
- Works with satellite manufacturers and engineers to ensure all satellite requirements are satisfied for proper operation within LEO systems
- Establishes and monitors objectives, specifications, and plans to ensure projects are executed effectively
- Participates in design reviews and trade analysis for optimal performance and operation of the satellite and constellation
- Represents Hughes in payload component selection and make / buy decisions to ensure vendor experience, quality, and ability to deliver meet requirements
- Analyzes satellite and constellation reliability by trading cost versus MTTF and performance versus user experience
- Oversees the satellite manufacturing plan and processes for high volume LEO satellite production including analysis of supply chain, assembly, and test
