What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Test Engineer position at John Galt Staffing?
Working successfully within a team, the Test Engineer will execute the test approach and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle. This will entail assisting in the following areas:
- Generation of system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools
- Development of functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems
- Design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturing

Required Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) minimum of 1 years relevant experience; or Master's degree
- Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Experience writing test procedures for software based systems.
- Preferred knowledge of object oriented programming (C ), Excel and Linux operating systems
