What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer Supervisor position at John H. Carter Company, Inc.?
Essential Duties
· Receive correspondence from external and internal customers which must be handled on a timely basis.
o Tasks will include RFQ’s, technical assistance/support, factory support, technical product support, delivery expediting,
· Facilitate customer application requirements for their product selection, sizing, and assembly
· Ensure that inside efforts are aligned with the production team
· Support JHC accounting department with problem invoices, returns, and general customer account information
· Understand and ensure that the JHC TCC (Total Customer Commitment) standards are upheld at all times
· Work closely with and support the JHC product principals when required to do so
· Attend and participate in required trainings
· Participate in the after hour and weekend ‘On-Call’ rotation
· Procure product and product information for customers
· Be a team player, and work well as group
· Accurately complete quotes, order entry, and purchase orders
· Always build and cultivate solid relationships
· This job is demanding in terms of knowledge skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. Multi-tasking and the ability to handle and manage interruptions is expected.
· Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
Education and/or Work Experience
· Minimum 2 years of Inside Sales experience
o Preferred in industrial equipment environment – preferably Fisher Control Valves & Fisher Regulators
o In the absence of a specific control valve and regulator background, experience with other industrial instrumentation/equipment sold into the chemical, petro-chemical, refining and oil & gas industries will be considered.
· BS in an Engineering Discipline is optimal
