- A minimum or 2 years in the valve repair industry
- TWIC, OSHA Safety, Security Passport

Typical Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately perform the following machining processes
- Maintain knowledge of digital read-outs (DRO)
- Machine nozzles and discs including polishing using the lathe in the shop and the field
- Machine broken studs on small bodies using the drill press
- Hone internal bores
- Use magnetic drill for stud removal
- Use drill press or pneumatic tools for disking seats
- Use surface grinder for gate seat preparation
- Perform silver plating
- Machine flanges (raised-face, RTJ ring joint, Grayloc, lens-ring, etc.)
- Machine threads (ACME single lead, ACME double lead, metric, etc.)
- Machine seats and trim
- Machine pressure seal rings and mating surfaces of body and bonnet
- Machine gear operator segments
- Machine stem bushings
- Qualified for use of PMI Analyzer
- SNT-TC-1A Level-II for PT
- Machine seats in high-performance metal-seated butterfly valves, i.e., Vanessa
Operate the following machines: milling machine, VTL, drill press, press fit, surface grinder, horizontal mill, broach, key seating machine, OD grinder, manual lathes, honing tools, band and cut-off saw, and Lap Master
