As a paint technician your impact is two-fold:
- For the customer, your goal is to execute work orders as scheduled, providing quality products on time and to our customer’s specifications.
- For the team, your goal is to maintain an organized, efficient, and quality centric assembly area. You’ll be responsible for documenting, communicating, and verifying needs and information; collaborating with other team members and departments; and coordinating activities to ensure an excellent customer experience.

This is a long-term, career-growth oriented position, and as such, the compensation package we’re offering is competitive: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on 2 – 3 years’ experience) to start and includes opportunities for you to quickly maximize your earning potential through training, experience, our ESOP, bonuses, and professional development programs.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare units for painting by cleaning, sanding surfaces and masking as specified in work orders.
- Paint surfaces of metal parts using spray painting equipment adhering to specific preparation and painting techniques.
- Apply a variety of coatings including enamels, epoxies, urethanes and coatings from various manufacturers.
- Mix paint precisely to manufacturer and customer specifications.
- Remove inconsistencies or imperfections using sandpaper.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and specifications regarding paint requirements.
- Accurately document and record all required data needed to comply with each specification.
- Operate spray booth and ventilation systems per specific instructions.
- Stage and move parts within the paint area using a forklift, hand truck, hoist or crane.
- Responsible for achieving good speed of execution while maintaining quality workmanship in a wide range of fitting activities.
- Maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat and orderly condition.
- Other ad hoc duties as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Relevant associate degree (or equivalent experience) from a college or technical school preferred.
- Ability to interpret instructions (written/verbal) and work orders, with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work while meeting productivity standards.
- The ability to build and maintain great working relationships with other team members.
- Must have and maintain a current driver’s license and acceptable driving record and be able to obtain forklift certification.
