Leading Cincinnati Home Builder is looking for a Senior Estimator to design, build and maintain options for existing and new designs. This is an exciting opportunity and the candidate will have an opportunity to influence new home designs, option design and purchasing decisions. The candidate should be a self-motivated and determined individual who desires to work for a fast-paced, hands-on construction company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Design, build and maintain base estimates for production homes in company software
- Design, build and maintain production options for base homes in company software
- Design and build custom options for job specific homes in company software
- Manage building products database in company software
- Estimate new designs and elevations
- Participate in strategic review of building materials and processes for ideas of how to increase quality, improve build times and be more efficient
- Create detailed job specific estimates for each home.
- Provide technical information to management, field and sales to ensure proper description, use and application of product.
- On-site field visits to validate take-offs
- Interact directly with architects, builders, subcontractors, internal sales personnel and suppliers
- Signing up new sub-contractors, to include soliciting bids, analyzing bids, evaluating scopes of work, resolving pricing questions, creating accurate purchase orders
