Day in the Life of a Drains Technician
- Diagnose and repair residential drain systems
- Communicate with customers in terms that can be understood
- Inspect drain lines with camera to identify drainage issues
- Inspect and test plumbing and drainage systems for safety, functionality, and water quality
- Clear clogs using snakes, high-velocity water jets, and sewer cameras
- Detect corrosion, construction defects, ground movement, and other flaws in a drainage system
- Check for leaks to make sure there is a continuous flow in the pipeline
- Any other duties needed to help drive our vision and fulfill our mission, while abiding by the JH core values
What We Need
- Basic knowledge of how a plumbing system works
- Be able to remove and reset a toilet and a p-trap
- Lift 175 pounds with the assistance of a dolly
- Work collaboratively with a team and customers
- Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal and driving background checks
