EARTHWORK AND EXCAVATION SUPERINTENDENT
The Superintendent is responsible for managing day to day operations in the field. This position specifically oversees the activities and supervision of crew workers on construction projects not limited to earthwork / site grading, utilities, water, sewer, and more.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Quality and Safety is being executed
- Understand and enforce company policies
- Supervise field forces & subcontractors
- Attend client meetings and ensure work is in compliance with Contract Documents
- Coordinate efficient scheduling of crews, equipment, and materials and ensure back up plans
- Maintain daily communication with PMs including daily project reporting and time management
- Daily and production unit reporting
- Sub-subcontractor management
- Coordinate job progress and success with PM, General Superintendent.
Qualifications
- Accountability with positive “Can Do” attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Advanced blueprint plan reading
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Basic computer skills (GPS knowledge a plus)
- Safety knowledge
