What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastor position at John Knox Presbyterian Church Dublin Ca?
John Knox Presbyterian Church is a nurturing, Christ-centered community located in Dublin, California (about 35 miles southeast of San Francisco).
Our mission is “to know and honor God and follow the Son while loving and serving
others.” We endeavor to live this out by cultivating a church-family atmosphere, welcoming all
into worship.
One clear focus in our vision is caring for families through a strong children’s program with a
vibrant Family Ministries Director on staff. We are currently seeking ways to support those
children as they age into our youth program.
Another strong focus is fellowship events which help strengthen and nurture
our church family. We seek to have our congregation reflect the community in which we live,
with greater ethnic diversity, while keeping our focus on Christ and showing His love for all.
We want to reach unchurched families with children of all ages by offerings and events that
evoke interest and participation, finding ways to be relevant and inviting.
We recognize that we are at a crossroads and that change must be part of our future. We are
excited to work towards God’s plan for JKPC’s future and look forward expectantly as we
currently challenge ourselves with both personal growth and efforts to expand our
congregation. We are filled with anticipation as we await God’s hand in bringing the right
leader to help us move forward and realize His plans for JKPC and our greater community.
