We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing team.
Previous experience as a Project Manager for a general contractor or other specialty trade contractor is absolutely required.
As our Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall success of customer projects. In addition to being responsible to support the administrative, scheduling, and communication-related activities for customer projects; the Project Manager is responsible for creating clear and attainable project objectives, building the project requirements, and managing the associated constraints of the project of cost, time, scope, and quality. This position will also prepare and define project scope of work, detailed schedules, budgets, objectives, and deliverables for projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Documents baseline for projects, decomposes complex work activities into manageable components.
- Identifies project resource requirements and coordinates directly and indirectly with company staff to ensure successful completion of the project. Manages costs, schedules, and quality by overseeing project deliverables.
- Performs on-going review of project status; identifies possible project risks. Recommends and implements risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriate.
- Manages project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary. Notify management team early of potential technical, schedule, and budget overages or shortfalls.
- Interfaces with stakeholders to manage changes to the project, which may involve changes to technical requirements, scope, cost, and schedule.
- Assists with the detailed reviews of Request of Proposals (RFP). Assists and/or leads a team to develop technical elements, scheduling and price estimates.
- Provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reporting on project performance using best practices both internally and externally.
- Assists with the development and support of local project management group processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Challenges organizational processes that do not contribute to value delivery and illustrate better process alternatives.
- Actively participates in and contributes to the continuous improvement and evolution of processes, methodologies, and tools within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Project Certification (PMP) or commitment to acquire certification within the first 12 months of employment.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or related field required.
- (3-5) or more years of experience in project or program management, ideally in the industrial installation space
- Candidate must be capable of working in a team environment, participate in technical activities throughout the development life cycle of the project, and maintain a close technical involvement with all contributing developmental organizations.
- Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
- Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects simultaneously to keep projects on course.
- Ability to simplify the communication of complex projects to effectively convey task assignments, milestones, work breakdown structures, and critical paths.
- Skill in demonstrating excellence through inclusion, teamwork, collaboration, knowledge transfer/training, and positive working relationships.
- Self-starter / Team leader / Mentor / Coach
- High level of proficiency of all Microsoft Office Applications including Microsoft Project
- Interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and customers.
- Candidate must be capable of working in a team environment, participate in technical activities throughout the development life cycle of the project, and maintain a close technical involvement with all contributing developmental organizations.
- Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases.
