DescriptionThe OSP Designer will be responsible for planning, designing, documenting, and permitting proposed new outside plant FTTx build-outs. This role will work as a member of our Fiber Design & Implementation Engineering team to produce high-quality deliverables for buried, underground, and aerial fiber applications. This is not a remote position and will require you to work in our Hawaii office .
Key ResponsibilitiesAn OSP Designer will be responsible for the design, field notes, pricing, and drafting of copper and fiber facilities. This position’s essential functions will include, but are not limited to :
- Engineering routine and specific outside plant work orders using any combination of aerial, buried, or underground cable.
- Copper and fiber optic cable engineering.
- Performing field visits.
- Completing projects with short turnaround times.
