Description
We are now seeking a talented Right-of-Way Agent (ROW) to operate out of our Lubbock, TX office. The ROW is responsible for preparing and submitting permit applications to Local, State, and Federal Agencies and obtaining private easements. This position will work closely with the engineers and design team to ensure projects stay on track by lining up permits/easements and expediting the process for all parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Must be capable of reviewing engineering drawings and construction sheets for cabling and remote site ROW acquisition.
- Able to determine what permits and private easements will be required to submit ROW applications successfully. Standard permitting includes Federal, state, county, city, and private easements.
- Negotiating the acquisition of right of way and other property interests as needed to accommodate the construction, operation, and maintenance of client facilities.
- Verify and update client records in an accurate and timely manner.
- Serving as a liaison between clients, cities, and counties, among other parties.
- Perform title research to identify land ownership.
- Negotiate property acquisitions and easements.
- Prepare and administer contracts and agreements.
- Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and other parties involved in the project.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions and agreements.
- Resolve issues related to property rights, permits, and access.
- Conduct field visits as required.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in right-of-way acquisition, real estate, or land services.
- Knowledge of eminent domain laws, real estate principles, title research, and land valuation.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with GIS and land management software is a plus.

- Monday- Friday 8 am-5 pm
