Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced (Supermarket, Grocery Store Renovation Project Experiences) and dedicated Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Duties
- Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Oversee project scheduling, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost-control measures as necessary.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications and industry standards.
- Review schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of project plans.
- Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Utilize construction management software such as HeavyBid and ProCore for project tracking and reporting.
- Prepare progress reports for upper management detailing project status, challenges, and milestones achieved.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a strong emphasis on supermarket/grocery store remodeling projects.
- Proven ability to manage all phases of construction projects, from start to finish.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schedules, and specifications.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
