THE ROLE

PURPOSE & SCOPE

Deliver innovative written content and product copy that elevate the consumer experience across all channels. Work cross functionally with the digital, marketing, product and design teams to ensure engaging and accurate copy that inspires and educates our consumer and brings our brand spirit to life.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

• Develop, write, edit, and manage all digital copy for product descriptions, digital marketing content, UX and special projects
• Produce engaging product copy for product name and descriptions creating compelling and detailed representation of the products
• Work to ensure accuracy of product information by collaborating with the production and merchandising team
• Provide copy for all CRM Communications including email, SMS and MMS
• Layout compelling story telling ability throughout CRM communications for engagement
• Support SEO optimization by incorporating relevant keywords and phrases for visibility and overall ranking
• Stay updated on industry trends, SEO best practices, and emerging digital marketing techniques to ensure that content remains relevant and on brand
• Use latest performance metrics to inform and update content and copy execution for digital marketing
• Partner with the creative team to assist in content strategy including campaigns, capsule collections, events, and PR
• Recognize opportunities to improve copy across all channels
• Develop a deep understanding of the brand, products, target audience, and utilize competitor analysis to lead in decision making for copy efforts
• Willingness to receive guidance and direction from others, including creative, site merchandiser, product and buying teams, and marketing teams

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team
• Strong editing skills, sense of grammar and creative writing practices
• Strong conceptual skills with knowledge of how copy relates to design, graphics, and concept inspiration are highly desirable
• Outstanding time management and the ability to focus on multiple projects at the same time
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Fluency in English, superior writing skills, excellent command of grammar and the ability to edit and proofread
• Versatile, imaginative, and clear style of writing, with receptivity to feedback and criticism
• Organized, with an eye for detail
• Self-motivated, with ability to manage several projects and deliver on deadline
• Resourceful, hands-on, and able to sense urgency
• Deep knowledge and enthusiasm for fashion and lifestyle brands
• Strong understanding of the brand and its unique identity

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Creative Writing, or Journalism
• 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in ecommerce and marketing copywriting within the fashion or retail industry
• Strong understanding of project management platforms, digital and social platforms, as well as their uses
• Extensive understanding of the luxury retail market
• Strong organizational skills and follow-up ability
• A portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to create content that attracts, retains, and grows an audience
• Experience with database tools, knowledge of Internet technology
