The SW Portland location of The John Wanderscheid Agency is seeking a retention Professional to join one of the top-performing teams in the Northwest!

Role Overview:

As our Onboarding and Retention Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless and positive experience for new and existing customers. From welcoming clients to cross-selling additional products, your expertise will drive retention, satisfaction, and growth.

You must have an active P&C or personal lines license for this position. Our training and resources are top-notch and if you have what it takes, we will take care of getting you up to speed. We offer a base salary commission team bonus. We also offer paid holidays, PTO, health insurance allowance, 401K and 8-5 hours Monday through Friday. If you are a successful agent looking for a regular schedule and a great work life balance this could be the opportunity for you.

Salary: $40000.00 - $100000.00 per year

Responsibilities

  • New Customer Onboarding: Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding process for all new clients by walking them through their policies and answering questions.
  • Policy Reviews: Conduct regular policy reviews to ensure coverage meets clients evolving needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Retention Efforts: Proactively handle cancellation calls with empathy and professionalism, addressing concerns and offering solutions to retain clients.
  • Late Payment Outreach: Manage outreach to clients with late payments to maintain coverage and ensure their needs are met.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to offer additional lines of business that align with clients' needs, adding value to their coverage portfolios.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Maintain detailed records

Requirements
  • Active Insurance License (Property & Casualty/Life & Health, as applicable).
  • Proven track record of success in a similar role, with strong experience in onboarding, retention, and cross-selling within the insurance industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Ability to handle sensitive client situations with professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant insurance software and tools.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
