Associate Faculty positions are non-tenure track, part-time, serving in a temporary or auxiliary capacity to teach specific courses on a course-by-course basis.
JOB DESCRIPTION
John Wood Community College (JWCC) is seeking an experienced and dynamic associate faculty member to join our Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction in both classroom and clinical settings, ensuring students are well-prepared to become registered nurses (RNs). This role focuses on delivering core nursing concepts, fostering critical thinking, and supporting student success throughout the program. The curriculum for this program is career oriented and approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction in both theoretical and clinical nursing courses aligned with the ADN curriculum.
- Supervise, guide, and evaluate nursing students in clinical settings, promoting the development of clinical competence and professional behavior.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that align with program objectives and meet accreditation standards.
- Provide timely feedback and academic support to help students achieve learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, including attendance, grades, and clinical evaluations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects diversity and promotes equity among students.
- Comply with institutional policies and accreditation requirements for nursing education and clinical practice.
