Wood is recruiting for a CAD Designer to join its Oil & Gas business focusing on upstream facilities. This opportunity is hybrid, based in Greeley, CO, with consideration for candidates in Longmont, CO.

This role specializes in upstream facilities, including wellheads, initial separation, compression into sales gas pipelines, and liquid transport pumping systems. The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating and reviewing facility drawings, ensuring alignment with project specifications, and collaborating with engineers to develop technical solutions.

Responsibilities
- Spend 70% of time in the field and 30% in the home office marking up and reviewing walked-down facilities.
- Walk a facility and create drawings for the drafting team.
- Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
- Develop computer-generated drawings, isometrics, details, plans, schedules, and data sheets.
- Prepare dimensional drawings for layouts and non-dimensional drawings such as one-lines.
- Revise drawings based on instructions from engineers.
- Communicate effectively and work with other members of the design team on each project assignment.
- Coordinate and communicate various issues among the company and contractor’s engineering team that affect the discipline engineering drawings.
- Keep Supervisor informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns.
- Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by Supervisor.

- Previous experience in a closely related position
- Experience in CAD design
- Associate’s degree in Drafting or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Plant3D
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
- Fluent in English, especially in technical and business communications
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
