The Role
Wood is currently seeking a Project Delivery Lead with significant relevant experience in the Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology) industry based out of Midwest USA. The person will lead project delivery team efforts through project lifecycle, ensuring project meets goals for estimates, budget, cost, scope & quality. Occasional travel to project meetings and job sites, as necessary, is required.

Typical responsibilities
- Provide project direction and leadership to Project Delivery team members
- Participates on Project Steering Committee, Representative for Project Delivery on required project teams, and other strategic teams as applicable
- Lead Project Delivery team efforts through project lifecycle, ensuring project meets goals for estimates, budget, cost, scope & quality
- Collaborate with Project Leadership & Project Delivery Team for overall execution of project
- Set team expectations of a safe construction environment throughout the project
- Take ownership of EHS through emphasis on EHS by Design and Principles of Prevention
- Set team expectations of quality in Project Delivery, with emphasis on "Right First Time"
- Participate in Project Steering Committee
- Define/endorse the resource requirements necessary for successful execution of Project Delivery scope, including System Owners
- Routinely communicate project status (progress, budget, schedule, risk) to Project Steering Committee over course of project
- Review RFPs for all project areas to ensure robust procurement processes are in place
- Align with Design Lead, Execution Systems Lead, Construction Lead, and CQV Lead on bidder list
- Align with Program Director and Design Lead, Execution Systems Lead, Construction Lead, and CQV Lead (as applicable) on selected partners
- Works with PDS Alliance Management group in assessing performance of all external partners and vendors
- Overall compliance with Stage Gate process, PD Playbook, GE Operating Model, Engineering Standards, and CSL CoE Best Practices, Policies, and Standards
- Overall delivery of project in accordance with business case, URB and PEP
- Participate in execution of Stage Gate reviews of project lifecycle
- Accountable to Program Director for project delivery of capital asset consistent with overall project objectives & business case
- Accountable to Regional Head of Project Delivery for ensuring scope, quality, cost & schedule align with approved business case

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture preferred. Will consider a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Well-developed knowledge of the engineering work processes principles and practices associated with organization products and services
- Comprehensive knowledge of the industry practices in general and knowledge and understanding of how the work integrates into a complete project
- 10- 15 years of life science industry experience
