What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Technician position at John Wood Group?
- Work schedule for this position will be straight night shifts after a period of day shift training.
- Serve as contact for physical security operations in the facility, including managing access control, perimeter security, and monitoring security systems.
- Monitor security conditions and identify potential threats or vulnerabilities.
- Respond and report on-site security incidents, coordinate immediate response needs to plant management and ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions.
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary during incidents.
- Oversee the administration of physical security technology, ensuring that systems such as surveillance cameras and alarms are operational and effectively monitored.
- Maintain detailed records of security incidents, patrol logs, and system maintenance activities.
- Provide administrative support to the operations team as needed.
- High School Diploma OR GED required
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must be able to interface effectively with co-workers and management team.
- Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and commitment to Safety.
- Must be capable of lifting/ carrying/ pushing/ pulling up to 50 lbs
- Must be proficient in computer usage as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, fit test and background check.
- Strong interest in learning new skills at a one of a kind facility
