What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager - Restaurant position at Johnnie's Jazz Bar & Grille?
Johnnie's Jazz Bar & Grille is looking for a General Manager to help bring an excellent dining experience to our guests.
Johhine's is open Tuesday - Thursday 4pm - 10pm, Friday and Saturday 4pm - 12am. Closed Sundays and Mondays.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Hiring (and firing), onboarding, and training restaurant staff, servers, hosts, and bartenders.
- Scheduling employees to ensure all shifts are fully covered.
- Monitoring the restaurant finances, including sales and expenses.
- Ensuring all employees have proper permits: food handlers’ cards, liquor permits,
ServSafe training, etc. - Promoting the restaurant and finding ways to bring more customers into the
establishment. - Handling customer complaints.
- Table touching.
- Completing all the necessary paperwork, such as sales and inventory.
- Completing payroll on time and ensuring everything is correct and in place before it’s
submitted. - Being able to “fill in” when the restaurant is short staffed.
- Cleaning.
- Completing any other duties as delegated or directed by your supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21 years old at the time of hire.
- Food handlers or ServSafe as required to meet County regulations.
- Must be able to run errands and provide current driver license and vehicle insurance.
- Must have the availability to open and/or close regularly.
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality
Manager, or similar role. - Proven customer service experience as a manager.
- Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall
ingredients. and dishes to inform customers and wait staff. - Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
Salary : $52,000
