Bartender

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Welcome guests to the bar and make them feel comfortable. Let them know that youre there to personally take care of them.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests and servers and enter into point-of-sale system.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with our drink recipes.
• Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt in the point-of-sale system
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change.
• Wash and sterilize glassware.
• Present Cantina Menu, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages, food and restaurant services.
• Monitor guests dining experience to ensure they are satisfied with the food, drinks and service.
• Respond promptly and courteously to requests and communicate guest feedback to managers.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in bar area.
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift, as required by management.
• Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
• Be familiar with TABC and Alcohol Service policies.
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow bartenders and servers.
• Attend all scheduled team member meetings.

• Previous restaurant experience not required, but preferred.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers and other team members.
• Ability to add and subtract two and three digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money.
• Ability to operate computer point-of-sale system.
• Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Food Handler Certification required.
• TABC Certification required.
