Purpose of Position
The Senior Planner, Direct to Consumer is responsible for creating and executing Merchandise plans and strategies that maximize the Company's sales and profitability. This Senior Planner will analyze past and current sales and trends to identify opportunities and minimize risks across all levels of the product hierarchy. This position will connect to all levels of the Company : from Store Ops, Ecommerce Merchandising, Allocation, Retail Operations, and Inventory Accounting. The Senior Planner will lead, train, and mentor Planner that will assist in implementing the Company's financial plans and objectives.

Position Overview :
- Interview, hire, mentor / train and manage direct reports in Planning. Responsible for performance management of team. Retain strong performers and prepare them for future promotional opportunities.
- Manage monthly, seasonal, and annual financial plans in conjunction with SVP Merchandising, VP Planning, Store Team, Executive Team and other internal partners. Lead meetings that present financial data.
- Work with Planning Team to prepare pre-season top-line plans, to be used in developing merchandise strategies for the season and supporting buying needs, aligned with total company budget goals.
- Develop seasonal / quarterly assortment plans in partnership with Merchants using Store clusters and sales volume rankings. Provide receipt targets at the class level and recommend Core vs Core Fashion vs Fashion placements.
- Collaborate with Merchants to determine that style and cc level quantities for fashion buys align with the financial plans.
- Partner with Merchants to establish threshold metrics for assortment breadth and depth at the category and store cluster level to support future season assortment planning.
- Create and maintain Category sales, margin, inventory and receipt plans by month and season within the planning tool to support financial goals.
- Establish monthly sales and inventory plans for Core styles and work with Allocation team to optimize inventory flow to support sales.
- Maximize the profit potential of the categories assigned by managing its liquidation activity, communicating to the team the potential to drive sales while maintaining gross margin dollar growth.
- Lead monthly OTB meetings to review sales, inventory, and receipt performance with Merchandising team, identifying issues and solutions to resolve those issues.
- Partner with Wholesale team to support Wholesale business.
- Generate and publish weekly sales reports : Omni, Ecom, Stock to Sales, Core selling, and Location selling. Review style performance weekly with Merchants. Lead Weekly Business Review with cross functional teams including Executive Team.
- Lead quarterly hindsight with Merchandising Team to better understand year over year classification performance. Adjust current and future plans as necessary.
- Analyze sales and margin results compared to plan and last year on a weekly / monthly / quarterly basis. Communicate results to merchants and management.
- Continuously analyze and adapt plans based on performance.
- Lead systems upgrades and serve as the subject matter expert on all related planning systems.
- Develop and maintain business process documents.
- Other duties that may be required from time to time.
Scope, Complexity and Autonomy
Pay Range
90,0000 - $120,000 annually
Pay is based on multiple factors, such as qualifications / skills / experience, geography, and state and local wage laws. In addition, bonus and / or commission and benefits including healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off / vacation, and product discounts may be offered.
