This analytical role ensures that the computer application systems being used meet the needs of the organization. Aside from simply analyzing existing systems, this can also mean designing, developing, and implementing their iterations and replacements to try and better meet the goals of the organization. The Business Applications Analyst II works closely with end users to identify their business requirements and translate them into application configurations. The Business Application Analyst II also leverages a deep understanding of core processing systems and multi-functional applications to interpret command structures, interfaces, and back-office processing, enabling them to consult, architect, and lead projects both independently and collaboratively with leadership.

Key Highlights of the Business Applications Analyst Role include:
- Within assigned areas of responsibility and minimal supervision, collaborates independently with business and technical resources to identify, analyze, prioritize, and resolve application issues.
- Works with the IT help desk to resolve more complex application issues that the help desk cannot resolve. Escalates support calls with the appropriate application vendors.
- Performs analytic studies of existing applications and reports on their ability to meet the end users’ business needs. Highlights any gaps that require further analysis.
- Responsible for keeping application versions current. This entails coordinating technical and functional resources for application upgrades. This also includes application of patches to resolve any critical vulnerabilities identified by IT.
- Collaborates with business and technical resources to identify, design and implement new applications for organizational use.
- Collaborates with training resources to develop appropriate end user documentation and training material.
- Assists technical resources with business continuity functions including confirmation of application backups, updating business continuity plans associated with the application, and assist with testing of business continuity plans.
- Researches industry trends, evaluates new and existing vendor solutions, analyzes competitive market data relative to member delivery channels so recommendation can be incorporated into our overall channel strategy
- Gains in-depth knowledge of the core processing system as a multi-functional application environment. Able to work with and interpret command structures, interfaces, and back-office processing.
- Experience with multiple applications, interface, and tie into core/CRM. The experience this individual has will allow them to consult, architect, and project lead. At times independently and/or collaboratively with leadership.
- Pursues training opportunities for individual development and participates actively in Touch-Bases and Action Planning.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find a new solution and make recommendations to improve process efficiency and effectiveness of workflows.
- Seeks ways to assist the Credit Union in strengthening controls, remain compliant and improve efficiency.
- Exhibits exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, and management.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. and a minimum of (5) years’ experience with applications support in a financial institution environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two (2) consecutive years of project management experience
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
The salary range for this position is $33hr - $36hr
Salary is commensurate with experience.
