What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building and Grounds Maintenance Skilled Worker position at Johns Hopkins Medicine?
Position Summary: As directed by and/or with the assistance of higher-level mechanics/supervisors, performs unskilled equipment maintenance and the Hospital complex's physical plant. The candidate must have at least one year of experience working outside in various temperature elements.
Knowledge: Fundamental/introductory knowledge of buildings and grounds maintenance techniques, procedures, and materials.
Shift:
- Full Time Day Shift 7-330pm
Required:
- Valid Driver's License verifiable through the Motor Vehicle Administration.
- Greater than 1 year of general grounds maintenance experience, including experience with power and manual equipment for lawn cutting and snow/ice removal.
- General knowledge of tools and equipment normally used in Grounds maintenance, including mowers, tractors, trucks, trimmers, rakes, shovels, steamers as well as non-powered hand tools.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Salary Range: Minimum $17.28/hour - Maximum $20.06/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
