Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center -4940 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224- Core Lab
Shift:
Casual PRN (8 hours)
Evening Shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am
Weekends Required: Yes
Position Summary:
- Reports to a Lead/Supervisor or Manager. Performs a variety of both routine and complex clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established standards and procedures. These require a professional level of knowledge to properly execute and analyze results, especially where results are abnormal or atypical.
- Specific duties may vary according to laboratory and shift assigned (i.e duties similar to a Clinical Lab Scientist I/II or Cytogenetics Tech, or Cytopathology Tech, or Histo Tech II.
- Individual works at a flat rate, on call or PRN status. Not merit eligible position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Work requires some coursework in clinical laboratory science, biology, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, cytopathology, cytogenetics, and/or microbiology normally acquired through completion of post-secondary school program in Histotechnology, MLT, MT or clinical laboratory technology and/or equivalent education and training in one of the noted disciplines or related field.
- 5 or more years of direct laboratory experience may substitute for completed secondary education.
Work Experience:
- This PRN role is intended for experienced laboratory professionals with a minimum of 2 years experience in related laboratory environment.

Salary Range: Minimum 34.00 per hour - Maximum 40.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
