Work Schedule: 16 hours/week, Mon - Fri, non-benefitted position
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of Enteral and Parenteral nutrition including care for Feeding tubes.
- Knowledge and understanding of Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) infusion via IV and SC routes.
- Knowledge and understanding of vascular system and its interrelatedness to other body systems.
- Proficiency in:
- Starting/maintaining patency of peripheral IV's.
- Knowledge of and ability to care for central venous access devices (CVAD).
- Blood drawing from CVAD.
- Knowledge of JCAHO, Federal, and State regulatory standards
- Knowledge and understanding of Medication Management including administration of IV Medications, Side effects, and Anaphylaxis management
- BSN Preferred.
- RNs without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months and complete the degree within 4 years of their start date.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred.
- Previous critical care experience preferred.
- Home care experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- Current MD-RN license or licensure in a compact state that allows practice in Maryland.
- Current DC-RN license or willingness to acquire licensure.
- CPR required.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and working vehicle required.
